President assured parliament would re-assume powers
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has assured people that parliament will be returned its powers so it can play an active role, MQM leader and Overseas Pakistanis Minister Farooq Sattar said on Monday. Welcoming the presidential address, Sattar said it was now up to all the political parties to manage to get a consensus on the constitutional reforms package to repeal the 17th Amendment. app
