PIA flight stuck at Tokyo airport

TOKYO: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-853 bound for Karachi via Beijing and Islamabad has been stuck at Tokyo Airport since 24 hours due to fault in landing gear. More than 110 people including crewmembers are onboard.

The passengers had protested against PIA management for not providing proper information regarding the delay. The flight will now depart at 2:00 pm on Saturday after arrival of another plane from Pakistan.

According to sources, PIA is operating with Airbus 310 at Beijing and Japan route, which has been banned in Europe and Japan has also raised objection on these planes. A cancellation of a single flight costs $100,000 loss to PIA, they added.
