Dasti re-given PPP ticket for by-polls
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Friday gave approval of the names of the party candidates to contest forthcoming national and provincial assemblies’ by-polls to be held in Punjab, Geo news reported.Luckily, the former member national assembly Jamsheed Dasti is also among those who are given PPP tickets.
It may be mentioned, Jamsheed Dasti is the one who recently tendered his resignation in apex court after being caught with fake educational degree.
According to sources, the decision came during the parliamentary board meeting of PPP with co-Chairman of party and President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari in chair.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani with President Asif Ali Zardari.
As per details, Jamsheed Dasti will contest on NA-178 while Nazir Jutt on NA-167 in by-polls from PPP.
