PM inaugurates new logo for NA SecretariatISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday unveiled the redesigned logo for the National Assembly Secretariat. The ceremony was held at a lunch hosted by National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza to celebrate the passing of the 18th Amendment Bill. The new logo is inscribed with the image of the National Assembly building and words ‘democracy’, sovereignty’ and ‘equality’. The National Assembly speaker said, “We commit ourselves to working for the promotion of democracy in our country. We pledge to protect the sovereignty of parliament and we resolve to ensure equality among citizens.” The prime minister congratulated the speaker and praised her efforts in adopting a logo for the National Assembly Secretariat, APP reported. staff report/app
