PML-Q to oppose Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in Senate
ABBOTABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said Sunday that Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif had accepted the renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for his personal interests.
Addressing a press conference here, Hussain said: “Nawaz has backed the 18th Amendment as he wants to become the prime minister again for the third time.
The PML-Q would oppose the renaming of NWFP in Senate, he said. But added that his party would support the government if it decided to restore the old name.
To a question, Hussain said that renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was a conspiracy hatched by the Awami National Party (ANP), which would not be allowed to succeed.
