Jaswant wants pre-1965 Pak-India ties

KARACHI: Former Indian external minister Jaswant Singh urged both Pakistan and India to restore their relations as they were before 1965.

Both countries should continue to hold talks, he told newsmen at a press conference.

To a question, Singh underscored that Pakistan and India will have to resolve all their outstanding issues themselves. He said that media should listen to the voice of people.

The former Indian external minister said two neighbors should issues visas for the whole country instead of few cities.

India was ready to grant visas to Pakistanis for the entire country during the Musharraf rule, he said, adding that Islamabad had not given a positive response in this regard.
