MQM slams use of force against Hazara protestors
KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement today urged the NWFP Government to refrain from use of force against the people of Hazara and solve the issue through talks.According to a statement issued on Tuesday, two groups of Hazara Qaumi Ittehad (HQM) held separate meetings with members of MQM’s Coordination Committee at Azizabad in Karachi.
The HQM delegations apprised the MQM of their stance about the ongoing protests in Hazara belt against the renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The MQM condemned the brutal use of police force at the protestors, in which nine people lost their lives.
In addition, the MQM assured the visiting delegations of their full support on every issue.
