Obama confident of Pak nuclear safety
WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama said on Tuesday he is confident of the security of Pakistan’s nuclear programme. “I feel confident about Pakistan’s security around its nuclear weapons programmes, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t improvement to make in all of our nuclear security programmes,” Obama told a news conference at the end of a nuclear summit. He said he wanted to help lower nuclear tensions between Pakistan and India, and this would be bolstered by Pakistan’s decision to sign on to a range of common commitments agreed at the summit. He also said the US was pushing for strong and timely sanctions on Iran. agencies
