Shujaat to blame for Abbottabad riots, says Iftikhar Hussain

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim league-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is responsible for the riots in Abbottabad over the proposed renaming of the NWFP, and he is working on “somebody’s agenda” to prevent the passing of the 18th Amendment in Senate, NWFP Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain said on Tuesday. Talking to the media at the Civil Officers Mess after a cabinet meeting, Iftikhar said the Awami National Party (ANP) is ready to hold dialogue with the Hazara Action Committee and other political parties on the renaming issue. The NWFP information minister said Hoti had also formed a committee – comprising ministers from Hazara – to take the people of Hazara into confidence over the renaming issue. staff report
