Power shortfall exceeds 4900MW
LAHORE: Due to huge electricity shortfall of 4900MW many cities were without power and facing prolonged unannounced loadshedding.
Traders in Lahore were protesting against Pepco. Gap between power production and demand has gone above 4,900 MW due to which duration for power load shedding has increased.
Power generation was at 10,300 MW while demand has increased to 15,200.
To overcome the crisis Pepco announced nine hours of loadshedding in Lahore and 11 hours in rural areas, which was affecting public life badly.
Ferozepur Road Industrial Association has announced today to hold protests.
