19th Amend can resolve renaming issue, says Kaira
LAHORE: A 19th constitutional amendment can be considered to resolve the issue of the renaming of the NWFP and creation of new provinces, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday. Talking to reporters after inaugurating an exhibition at the University of Gujrat, Kaira said the issue of the renaming of Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa and the creation of Hazara province would be addressed according to the constitution. He said the government was considering the proposal of bringing a 19th amendment after the passage of the 18th Amendment Bill. Kaira said the government was working to resolve the power crisis on war footings. staff report
