Pakistan facing huge challenges: PM
BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable to cope with the challenges facing the security of the country also in addition to those at its western borders, Geo News reported Sunday.Addressing a ceremony held on the occasion of the largest army drills, he said Pakistan is facing rafts of challenges at present; however, Pakistan has been endowed with sources and opportunities to cope with them.
The nation is proud of the sacrifices rendered by the Pak Army, he said.
Pakistan’s armed forces are geared up to confront various other challenges than those at its western borders, he emphasized.
Pakistan did a great job in Swat and Waziristan, as the country is serving as an iron wall against the terrorism, he asserted.
