Energy moot: PM asks for final recommendations
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani directed the participants of energy conference to submit on Thursday the final recommendations for overcoming the ongoing power crisis.
At the close of two-day energy conference, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Federal Water and Power Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf and Food Minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal met the prime minister and presented him the recommendations to end the energy crisis.
The prime minister asked the participants to further discuss the recommendations and adopt a non-discriminatory approach for supplying of electricity to all sectors and areas.
Gilani said that final recommendations would be announced on Thursday.
He also called for devising a medium and long-term plans to resolve the worst power crisis facing the nation.
