Punjab suffered the most due to power crisis: CM
LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that although the entire country is faced with the worst power crisis, but Punjab has suffered the most.
Speaking at a ceremony here on Wednesday, he said situation is alarming as economy is suffering from the prolonged power outages.
He said the Prime Minister and four chief ministers carried on consultations for two days to find a durable solution of the power shortfall.
The chief minister also lamented police torture on demonstrators. He, however, said that no power project could be created in a few weeks.
“I am personally against two weekly off. But we have to make this decision to save electricity,” he announced.
Meanwhile, he urged all stakeholders to sit together to overcome the issue.
