Power cut to plunge Karachi into darkness: MQM

KARACHI: MQM leader Nasreen Jalil, slamming the federal government’s announcement to slash the agreed Karachi power quota by 300MW, termed it an anti-state move.

Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, the former deputy mayor of Karachi said the decision would plunge the city into darkness.

Jalil further said that it would also cripple the country’s revenue engine.

Meanwhile, the MQM Rabita Committee demanded President and Prime Minister of withdrawing the announcement to cut down the agreed upon quantum of electricity supply by 300MW
