Energy crisis hurting various sectors: Shahbaz
LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that agriculture, industries and other sectors are suffering from the ongoing energy crisis.
This he said while speaking to Britain’s Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan Peter Tibber, who called on the chief minister at his office Monday.
Shahbaz said the Government of Punjab has set up a separate department to look into the power projects.
The Musharraf policies, he said, caused an increase in militancy and ignored the country’s economic side.
Speaking on this occasion, Tibber assured that Britain would assist Pakistan to overcome the energy crisis.
