PIA restarts services to Europe

LAHORE: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has flown over 2,000 passengers per day from Pakistan to the UK and Europe, since the opening of the airspace and about 1,500 passengers are being brought back on a daily basis, a PIA spokesperson said on Sunday. The PIA has been granted permission to operate extra flights by the UK civil aviation authorities. A flight, PK-7012 from Islamabad will be flying to Manchester on April 26 (Monday), at 10:30am, and another extra flight, PK-7011 will depart from Islamabad to Manchester on April 27 (Tuesday) at 7:00am. Another flight will depart from Karachi to New York via Lahore and Manchester on May 1 at 2:15am, the spokesperson said.
