Petroleum prices may increase in May
KARACHI: The government is likely to announce an increase in petroleum prices in May, a private TV channel quoted sources in the Ministry of Petroleum as saying on Tuesday. The announcement comes at a time when commodity prices and electricity tariffs in the country are at an all time high, and the country is facing a major energy crisis. The price of kerosene oil is also expected to go up by eight percent. The rise in diesel prices will subsequently push transportation costs upwards. daily times monitor
