Notifications demoting 54 officers to Grade-21 issued
ISLAMABABAD: The Federal Government, complying with the verdict of the Supreme Court, Thursday issued notifications demoting 54 officers promoted earlier to Grade-22.The Establishment Division issued the notifications in the light of the decision of the apex court. The said officers, however, will continue to fulfil their respective responsibilities in their ministries, divisions and departments. But, now they will be performing their duties under Grade-21.
They have been directed to function as Additional Secretary In-charge. The Prime Minister scheduled to return today from Bhutan will decide the fate of these officers.
The Prime Minister has already made it clear that the SC verdict in connection with the promotions of the above officers will be implemented.
Meanwhile, officers including Secretary Information, Secretary Election Commission, Secretary Petroleum, Chairman CDA, Chairman FBR continued to discharge their duties in their respective offices on Thursday.
