Loadshedding, technical faults plague Karachiites
KARACHI: Residents of the city still continue to be plagued by loadshedding and to add to their misery technical faults are not being fixed in a timely manner, Geo News reported.
Several areas are facing loadshedding of 10-12 hours and according to the KESC the duration of loadshedding during Ramzan will be dependent on the supply of gas and oil.
The city of lights continues to be plagued by darkness as residents complain that their life has been badly impacted due to power outages. Technical faults remain unfixed and unannounced loadshedding continues.
According to the spokesperson for KESC, workers are busy resolving technical faults while in some areas feeders are repeatedly tripping due to unlawful connections. The spokesperson adds that SSGC has assured KESC that gas supply will be increased and if supplies of gas and oil are adequate than only 3-4.5 hours of loadshedding will take place during Ramzan.
Meanwhile Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad has directed that loadshedding be decreased from first Ramzan.
