Two persons sustained injuries owing to a chemical reaction that resulted in a minor blast in an ice factory near Seven-Up bridge in Gulberg police limits. The victims, identified as Nawaz and Sarfraz, were workers in the ice factory. They were doing their routine job when the chemical reaction took place and a blast was heard. As a result, both received serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital by Edhi ambulances. The blast created panic in the area and Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot.
