Missouri limits students, teachers online interaction

MISSOURI: The governor of Missouri signed a bill into law that requires school districts there to develop guidelines that lay how teachers and faculty can communicate online with students.

The new law says teachers cannot have any private, online communication with their students unless the conversations can be monitored by both parents and administrators. Senate Bill 54 is not specific to Facebook but rather any kind of social networking that is exclusive and allows for private communication.
