SC rejects Saeed Kazmi's bail application
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has rejected the bail application of former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi who was arrested in connection with the Hajj scandal case, Geo News reported.
A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising of Justice Jawad Khwaja and Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the plea requesting the bail of Kazmi. Additional Attorney General K.K. Agha argued against the bail application and showed a picture of Kazmi with Ahmed Faiz. As a result, the bail application was rejected.
Meanwhile a court in Rawalpindi heard the Hajj scandal case and Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Rao Shakeel were presented in court.
The court adjourned the hearing till August 18 and directed that an advertisement be published in the newspaper about at-large accused Ahmed Faiz .
