World Vision distributes relief items among 1.5m flood victims

ISLAMABAD: International aid agency World Vision has distributed relief items to around 1.5 million people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab provinces, including clean drinking water, food, hygiene kits, blankets and shelter.

World Vision Pakistan head, Alexander Davey, in a statement said the agency has also established women and infant-friendly spaces across three of country’s four provinces.

He vowed to ramp up flood relief efforts till complete rehabilitation of the victims. World Vision is committed to the longer-term rehabilitation of affected communities and is helping restore families’ livelihoods across the country by running early recovery and development projects, distributing seeds and agricultural tools, and offering training and cash for work programmes. app
