Sindh govt to decide about army deployment: PM Gilani
MULTAN: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said Friday that the situation in Karachi and Balochistan were different and the Sindh government and people would determine if the army would be deployed in Karachi, Geo News reported.
Speaking to the media the Prime Minister said that no steps would be taken against interest of the nation and people. The Prime Minister said all parties were being consulted on the situation in Karachi and a round table conference would be called in accordance with the political mandate.
He added that discussions were underway about the possible formation of a Sarakai province. Commenting on the situation of the Pakistan Railways, the Prime Minister said that Ghulam Ahmed Bilour was a good minister and the railways had been on a downward spiral prior to the PPP government.
