JST announces strike against LG system
KARACHI: President Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST) Dr Safdar Sarki has announced to observe a shutter down strike in Sindh against the restoration of Sindh Local Government Ordinance 2001, Geo News reported.
Dr Sarki demanded that the ordinance which has divided the province over administrative basis be taken back. JST leader addressed the media at Karachi Press Club (KPC).
He pointed out that by issuing this ordinance Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has tried to divide the province, which is condemnable.
