Malik orders action against extortion mafia
KARACHI: Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik directed officials to launch a campaign against elements involved in extortion in Karachi on Saturday.
He issued these directives while talking to a delegation of business community members at the National Crisis Management Cell.
The business community delegation was led by Siraj Kasim Teli, while other prominent personalities included KCCI President Saeed Shafeeq, Haroon Farooqi, Anjum Nisar, Jawaid Makda and others.
At the meeting, the interior minister, acting on applications given by the delegation, issued directives to the concerned officials.
The interior minister directed the interior secretary to identify the organisations involved in extortion in Karachi. Sindh IGP Wajid Ali Durrani and Additional IGP Saud Mirza were also present on the occasion. appCourtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
