No peace in city without deweaponisation: Ghouri
KARACHI: Vice chairman Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Shamshad Khan Ghouri has said that the politics of threats has pushed the city to the verge of destruction. In a statement issued here on Saturday, Ghouri said that peace could only be expected in the metropolis if it is deweaponise without discrimination, however, it does not seem to happen, he added. Ghouri said the citizens of Karachi are living in panic because of the politics of threats while the government seems least interested to protect their lives and property. In the prevailing situation, the city would remain a slaughterhouse if killing of innocent people is not stopped in the name of compromise and reconciliation, he added. staff report
