Malik, Wasan discuss security situation in Karachi
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said Monday that there was no reason for nationalists to hold strikes, adding that he was making important decisions for the stability of peace in Karachi and its result would be seen soon, Geo News reported.
Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik and Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Wassan met at the National Crisis Management Cell in Karachi. Talking to the media after the meeting, Wasan said that a single local bodies system had been implemented all across Sindh after which there was no reason to protest or issue calls for strikes.
Replying to a question, Manzoor Wassan said that in order to bring peace in Sindh, the help of the Interior Minister was also required, and that is why Rehman Malik was called upon. Before this meeting the question of cleansing Karachi from weapons was also discussed.
