Sindh govt. decides to restore LG system across the province
KARACHI: Over strong reaction from Sindh Nationalist parties against restoration of Local Government System 2001 in Karachi and Hyderabad, Sindh Government has decided to restore it across province, Geo News reported.
According to Geo, Sindh Chief Minister has approved to restore the LG System across the province.
According to sources, PPP leaders had consultations over restoration of the system across Sindh in Iftar dinner at the residence of Senior Sindh Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq on Sunday.
The sources added that President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned PPP leaders in Islamabad. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Senior Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq and Murad Shah.
