Lyari tensed after attack on Zafar Baloch
KARACHI: After the hand grenade attack in Chakiwara area of Lyari that injured PPP local leader Zafar Baloch, the situation got tensed as various incidents of firing incidents took place in various parts of the metropolis.
According to the details, after the hand grenade attack the incidents of heavy firing were reported from Juna Market, Darya Abad, Lee Market, Kharadar, Chakiwara, Bhimpura among various other areas of the metropolis.
Unidentified men in Salar Compound area of Old City Area attacked hurled hand grenade and rockets, triggering tension in the area.
Zafar Baloch was shifted to private hospital. Senior provincial minister Zulfiqar Mirza, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and various other members of National and Provincial Assemblies reached the hospital.
Talking to media, Sharjeel Memon said that condition of Zafar Baloch was out of danger.
PPP leader Qadir Patel termed the attack on Zafar Baloch as an attack on PPP. He appealed to the people to remain calm.
Provincial Home Minister Manzoor Wassan while condemning the attack directed the police to interrogate the incident. Meanwhile, the police personnel have been deployed in tensed areas of Lyari.
