All 23 districts, posts of DCOs restored in Sindh
KARACHI: After the revival of Sindh Local Government Ordinance 2001, 23 districts of Sindh besides administrators and district coordination officers have been restored while divisions and the posts of commissioners and deputy commissioners have been abolished, Geo News reported.
Department of Local Government restored towns, talukas, municipal and union administrations in City District Government Karachi and other district governments and also dissolved Provincial Transition Cell.
Karachi Administrator Lala Fazlul Rehman have resumed the office while DCOs in all other districts of the province been given the charge of administrator as well. Department of Services have abolished the posts of assistant commissioners and posted them as DDO Revenue. All orders issued between 9th July and 7th August have been cancelled.
