Heavy downpour in Lahore submerges low-lying areas
LAHORE: Lahore is receiving heavy downpour from the past five hours that has submerged low-lying areas of the city, causing difficulties to the commuters Monday, Geo News reported.
Rain started early in the morning and is continuing since then. Many areas are now immersed in rainwater that has forced WASA to take emergency steps to control the situation.
Following heavy rain, power failures were also reported in many areas causing severe difficulties to the citizens.
Rain is likely to continue in different areas of Lahore for the next 12 hours, met department forecasted.
