Khosa for transforming Pakistan into Quaid’s state

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa Sunday said freedom was priceless blessing and if we wanted a bright future of Pakistan, we would had to act on golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Addressing a function held in connection with the Independence Day here at the Governor’s house, he said value of freedom could be known to only who spent jail’s life.

Vice-chancellors of all universities from the province, faculty members and students were present on the occasion.

The governor recalled that a century ago, Muslims in sub-continent were depressed and they even could think that one day they would have their own homeland where they would enjoy complete freedom and could spend their lives according to Islamic teachings.

He said leaders like Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal awaken Muslims of the region, sacrificed their lives and got an independent state for Muslims on globe. “It was really a miracle,” he remarked. Muslims leaders, he said, with a support of people materialised the slogan “Ban Ke Rahey Ga Pakistan’ into reality with their dedication and hard work. The governor said with distress, “We got Pakistan but no doubt today’s Pakistan is not that for which Allama Iqbal dreamt.” The governor held dictatorship responsible for prevalent situation in the country. Instead unity, provincial parochialism was emerged because of prolonged dictatorship in the country. app
