Plea moved in LHC against new provinces
LAHORE: A plea has been submitted in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the formation of new provinces on which the court has sought reply from the provincial and federal governments, Geo News reported Tuesday.
The plea was submitted by Advocate Shakeel Ahmed stating that the formation of new provinces can endanger the stability of the country and can make it weaker.
According to the constitution, there is no possibility of new provinces in the country, the petitioner added.
The court accepted the request and adjourned the hearing until second week of September.
