Disease outbreak kills 11 in Badin

BADIN: District Badin’s flood-affectees, who have become a picture of misery, say they are being neglected and under-relieved, Geo News reported.

Calamity stricken people crammed in the relief camps are crying out loud at the callousness of authorities as 11 people have succumbed to waterborne diseases so far.

It’s been reported that no measures have been taken to plug breaches that surging floodwater broke open in the banks of different drainage watercourses that carry the extra rainwater.

The floodwater that filled the drain rivers in Thatha to the brim is now flowing into the sea fast.

To make matters worse medicine, food, and potable water are nowhere to be found there.

The authorities are duly distributing relief goods in the urban areas but the affectees are complaining they’re not getting enough.

Although things have started to improve, but still hundreds of villages stand awash with water trapped in there going nowhere.
