Badin Imamwah south breach submerges 20 villages
BADIN: A huge 50 feet wide breach has occurred in Imamwah south of Tando Ghulam Ali near here making the situation worse compounded as the flood affected people in the district are still facing difficulties in obtaining relief, help and assistance besides much required food to survive, Geo News reported.
At least twenty more villages have submerged after a huge 50 feet breach occurred near Imamwah south in Goth Bagrani of Tando Ghulam Ali near here. The stranded villagers have strongly protested against the irrigation department for their failing to take any measure to plug the breach.
On the other hand, the flood affected people including men, women, old and children have taken refuge on the bank of the roads in Badin district waiting helplessly for the relief, food and drinking water for survival, which still remains to materialize, as the authorities appear quite apathetic to urgency of the horrible situation. The affected people complained that they have received no food to eat from the administration, while relief materials being distributed in the urban areas’ relief camps, those received complained that it doesn’t meet their requirement for being too megre. The affected people of Pathan Kot and adjoining areas have staged a sit-in on the Badin Highway blocking traffic in protest against non-supply of relief.materials.
Meanwhile, the flood water is gradually receding in several areas of the district.
