Karachi violence: Sindh govt decides not to call Army


KARACHI: The Sindh government expressed confidence in the performance of the police and rangers and decided not to call the Army in Karachi, Geo News reported.

A law and order meeting was held at the Chief Minister House which was jointly chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik. The meeting reviewed the security situation in Karachi and interior Sindh.

According to the sources, 25 banned organizations were warned to shut their offices and activities and action would be taken against those banned organizations which were operating under different names.
