Wasan says nine areas identified for operation
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Wasan said nine areas had been indentified for operation in the metropolis, Geo News reported. The names of these areas would not be disclosed beforehand, as the operation aimed at making arrests. He said the government had decided to restore peace in the city and hoped for positive results from the operation.
Wasan added that 11 target killers had been arrested thus far and suspects arrested in connection with the police bus attack in Korangi were being interrogated.
Manzoor Wasan was addressing the 12th passing out parade of the Elite Fore at the Raziqabad Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Training Centre. Wasan expressed satisfaction over the training of the policemen for dealing with internal and external challenges. He said the children of policemen would be given scholarships and the salaries of the Sindh police would be at par with those of the Punjab police.
