Rangers given exceptional powers in Karachi
KARACHI: Rangers have been given authority to exercise exceptional powers in the metropolis, Geo News reported. A notification in this regard was issued by the Sindh Home Ministry.
They have been given the authority to conduct searches without warrants, finish no-go areas and take action against target killers and extortionists.
Rangers have also been given the authority to use power to deal with terrorists.
