Punjab CM assures of Taseer’s early recovery
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has said that no effort would be spared for immediate recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, son of former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer and the culprits involved in the incident would be apprehended. The CM was presiding over a meeting at the Lahore airport on his return from Karachi on Friday. Earlier, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani telephoned the CM and discussed the kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer with him. Shahbaz assured the prime minister of early recovery of Shahbaz Taseer. Earlier, the prime minister directed the inspector general (IG) of Punjab Police to take all measures to recover Shahbaz Taseer. Gilani also telephoned the daughter of Salmaan Taseer, Sherbano, and assured her that all efforts would be made to recover her brother. staff report
