‘Malik’s appointment as minister mistake of Zardari’

ISLAMABAD: Former Sindh Minister, Zulfiqar Mirza once again criticized Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik during Capital Talk on Geo News, stating that the appointment of Rehman Malik was the mistake of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Answering questions of Hamid Mir, Muhammad Malik, Ansar Abbasi and Shaheen Sehbai , Mirza said that his resignation was a sign that liars had won.

He alleged that Rehman Malik fled during the assassination of former premiere Benazir Bhutto, instead of providing security to the slain PPP leader.

He said that Malik was a burden for the PPP and leveled allegations that the killing of innocent civilians in Karachi was due to Rehman Malik. Mirza said that he had communicated this to the party’s leadership.

The former senior minister also alleged that the MQM started violence in the metropolis and the rest of the political parties retaliated to the violence. He said that criminals from ANP, Sunni Tehreek, and Lashkar e Jhangvi were also arrested during his tenure.

Mirza said that Babar Awan was behind the withdrawal of Commisonerate System.
