I don’t mind this kind of statements: Malik
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that Senior Sindh Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza was (just like) his younger brother and that he did not mind his statements, a private TV channel reported. In his reaction to Dr Mirza’s tirade against him and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Malik said that he (Dr Mirza) issued the statements against him in a state of anger and “I don’t mind this kind of statements”. He said that a crackdown in Karachi was being carried out only against criminals who were enemies of innocent people. Not a single innocent would be harmed, he assured. The Lyari search operation was bound to offend certain quarters, he said, adding that an unbiased action was essential across the board to end target killing in the city. He elaborated the details of the search operation being conducted in the various parts of the city, particularly in Lyari from where a large cache of weapons was recovered and the law enforcing agencies arrested three suspects. daily times monitor/staff report
