DG Rangers’ services placed at government’s disposal: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: The services of Pakistan Rangers Sindh Director General Maj Gen Ijaz Chaudhry have been placed at the disposal of the government. According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday, in deference to the decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan with regards to the incident in Karachi where a civilian, Sarfaraz Shah, was killed by security personnel of the Rangers, Maj Gen Ijaz Chaudhry was posted out following the apex court decision in letter and spirit. Since the Rangers’ personnel responsible for the act have been awarded punishment accordingly by the courts and owing to the present law and order situation of Karachi, the services of Maj Gen Ijaz Chaudhry are hereby placed at the disposal of the government, it added. app
