PML-N slams Imran, Malik over diatribe
* Pervaiz Rasheed says man sitting in Presidency writing script against PML-N
Staff Report
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Pervaiz Rasheed has said that a man sitting in the Presidency is writing script against the PML-N and has given one copy to Interior Minister Rehman Malik and the other to PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Talking to media after inauguration of Rana Travels Bus Service, under the auspices of Lahore Transport Company, at Thokar Niaz Baig, on Saturday, Rasheed said that no front had been opened against anyone, however, Imran Khan and Rehman Malik continued to target them.
“There is absolutely no difference between the statements issued against us by both of them, and, it seems, that the script writer of those statements is the same and, after the statements having been written in the Presidency, one copy is given to Rehman Malik, while the other is handed over to Imran Khan,” he said.
He stressed that the amount collected from zakat ought to be spent on the medical care of patients, and not for purchase of property.
The PML-N senator said that it was the responsibility of the federal government to end power load shedding, adding, “We will discharge our responsibility in this regard, whenever the people will assign governance responsibility to us.”
He asserted that the PML-N would be victorious in the forthcoming elections, with a thumping majority.
Rasheed said that the PML-N had come into power through the votes of people, and the Punjab government was vigorously striving to provide facilities to all citizens on the basis of equality.
He said during the last four and a half years, the Punjab government did not buy any new vehicles for its ministers, but, instead, by reducing their emoluments, development projects worth billions of rupees have been completed.
He said PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had ensured provision of quality-oriented and dignified travelling facilities to all citizens by constructing motorways.
He said that on the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, latest transport system has been introduced to provide transport facilities to the people at the local level, under which pollution-free CNG, air-conditioned and comfortable buses are being run.
He said that during the last four and a half years, the Punjab chief minister had spent billions of rupees on the welfare and development of the people, which has raised their living standard.
Member lawmaker Rana Muhammad Arshad said in the first phase, as many as 15 air-conditioned buses would be plied, from Thokar Niaz Baig to Raiwind Bus Service route while their number would be gradually increased.
Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Abdul Ghafoor, MNA Afzal Khokhar, MPAs Rana Muhammad Arshad and Mehr Ishtiaq were also present on the occasion.
