PTI UK workers protest against PML-N
LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) UK workers on Friday protested in front of the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Park Lane. More than a hundred PTI stalwarts took part in the protest led by the party’s UK Chief Organiser Rabia Zia, shouting slogans and asking the PML-N chief to answer Khan’s 11 questions and explain the sources of his wealth. Zia, while talking to Daily Times, said that the leaders of the PML-N had tried to damage the reputation of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital by levelling baseless allegations against it. She condemned the allegations of Khwaja Asif and other PML-N leaders against the hospital and said that Sharif’s cronies were issuing such statements to appease their boss. “Shaukat Khanum Hospital is providing free of cost treatment to hundreds of cancer patients by collecting donations from well-off people,” she said, adding that issuing baseless statements against it affected the donations and zakat given to it during Ramazan. She claimed that the nation had shown trust in the leadership of Khan. “Corrupt and dishonest politicians have no future and are, therefore, targetting Imran Khan,” she added. asif mehmood
