Law enforcers have failed in Karachi: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday condemned the fresh wave of target killings in Karachi.
Imran offered condolences to family members of those who died and said law enforcement agencies had failed to prevent violence and damage to both people and property in Karachi. He said authorities had failed to maintain order even during the holy month of Ramazan, adding that unrest had disrupted economic activities in Karachi. The PTI chairman, however, asked the people of Karachi to remain calm and help restore peace in the country’s financial hub. “Acts of violence will only result in further damage to the public and is not a solution to the problem,” Imran said. “The PTI stands for peaceful political coexistence of all political and democratic stakeholders in the country. It also appeals to political party workers to shun the politics of violence and revenge to maintain the balance of peace and harmony in the city.” online
