Areas inundated after rain in KP, Punjab, AJK
LAHORE: Intermittent rain continues to fall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
Several acres of farm land have been inundated after Nala Daik (drain) overflowed in Sialkot and Narowal. Areas affected by the rain were also without electricity. Water also accumulated in areas of Chakwal, Kharian, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Mandi Bahauddin following heavy rains.
Abbottabad and its surrounding areas also experienced flooding and several areas were inundated.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the areas of Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Khyber Agency and Malakand continue to receive rain.
Meanwhile in AJK rain continued to fall on the second consecutive day in Kotli, Mir Pur and surrounding areas. Two children were also killed near Mir Pur when a wall collapsed on them.
