CJ orders crackdown on culprits
QUETTA: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary said on Thursday that the lives and property of the people of Baluchistan should be secured at all costs, even if that means a crackdown on criminals at all levels.
Expressing his displeasure on the process of the recovery of Dr Ghulam Rasool, he remarked that the writ of the government is missing and it will only be accepted if abducted persons are recovered without paying ransom and the culprits are arrested, tried and sent to jail.
He made these remarks in his chamber at the Supreme Court Quetta registry while reviewing developments on different cases including kidnapping for ransom. The I.G Police and provincial information secretary briefed him on this occasion about the cases of kidnapping for ransom.
He later postponed the hearing on the development of different cases to 3rd December.
