Won’t be part of any anti-democratic movement: Sherani
QUETTA: Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (F) is not going to be a part of any movement against democracy said Balochistan’s Ameer Senator Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani on Monday, Geo News reported.
Addressing the Sheikh-ul-Hind Conference marking the beginning of the JUI-F's election campaign, he said even after the passage of sixty-five years it is still unclear as to who this country really belongs to.
He accused the ruling forces of caring more for their personal interests than those of the country or its nation.
Sherani said after Soviet Union's breakdown there had been no justification for Nato's existence and the only reason for which it was allowed to stay alive was to strengthen the West against Islamic world.
"The so-called war on terror was thrust upon our region and it is the enemy's attempt to pit us against each other to achieve its ulterior motives," he maintained.
